2013 Infiniti JX35 – 7 Seater Luxury Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV)

Luxury Cars - Auto, Sport Utility - SUV Comments Off

Looking at the 2013 Infiniti JX35 7 seater SUV it looks quite big, but the JX35 actually is smaller than Infiniti’s QX flagship SUV model and slightly larger than the FX class. Both the QX and JX35 seats 7 passengers but the JX is priced less…starting $40,450

The JX35 is a heavy weight coming in at 2004 Kg or just over 5000 lbs, while the bigger brother QX is almost 6000 lbs. The JX is here to compete in this segment with the Acura MDX and Audi Q7, Infiniti wants to take some sales away from its competitors.

Internal capacity of the 2013 Infiniti JX35 is 4242 liters more than both the Acuran and Audi, so SUV buyers looking for more room would appreciate and lean towards the JX35. Many passengers who have riden in the third row seats of the new Infiniti JX have commented on the comfort.

The third row passenger seats features 50/50 split and they are quite well cushioned, can recline and have a ventilation system in front of them. Also there is sufficient leg room for taller passengers.

Some large 7 seater SUV’s make it awkward for rear seat passengers to get in, but the Infiniti JX35 doesn’t have that problem. The doors open wide enough for passengers to get into the third row seats. Also another great feature is that the center seats can slide forward.

With 447 liters of cargo space behind the rear seats there is plenty of room for groceries, however if are heading on a camping trip and need more room, well it is as simple as dropping /folding down the third row seats of the Infiniti JX35 to get 1339 liters of space.

Base model of the Infiniti JX35 comes with a long list of standard features, below are just a few features:
- tri-zone climate control
- multi-info display w/ 7 inch color monitor
- adjustable heated front seats
- heated leather steering wheel
- power tilt and telescopick steering column
- lighted audio controls
- push button, smart key start
- power moonroof
- 6 speaker audio system

As far as safety goes here are a few:
- Driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags
- Roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor for first-, second- and third-row outboard occupant head protection
- Brake and traction control
- Blind spot intervention
- 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
and more…

To power the Infiniti JX35, the 3.5 liter DOHC V6 engine just put under the hood, its power output is 265 hp and 248 lb/ft of torque. The transmission has a four modes of driving, they are Sport, Eco, Snow and normal.

Though the 2013 Infiniti doesn’t accelerate like a sports car with its 3.5 litre V6, it is adequate and drive like a mini-van once loaded up with 7 passengers and cargo. With lots of standard features and safety features with comfortable room for back passengers this may make a good choice for someone looking for an SUV for a large families, that has some sporty style.

Price: $40,450
