Ferrari 458 Challenge – A Super Luxury Race Car Competitor
Luxury Cars - Auto, Race Car Comments (0)
The Ferrari 458 has been modified for competition to become the Ferrari 458 Challenge with modifications done to the gear ratios and callibration of the dual-clutch F1 gearbox to ensure high torque at lower revs during race conditions.
The suspension of the Ferrari 458 has also been tuned in the 458 Challenge, it now has aluminum bushings, stiffer springs, single-rate dampers, 19 inch racing wheels with center nuts, large dimension Perrelli slicks and the ride height has been lowered by 3cm (30mm). Quite a long list of suspension improvements to make it better handling and competitive
on the track.
For stopping power the brakes have been upgraded with Brembo CCM2 brakes and integrated ABS system that has two configurations – low grip and high performance for dry track surface conditions. The last and most sophiscated system to be introduced and implemented to the Ferrari 458 Challenge is the F1-Trac traction control system which can be the big advantage in competition.
Unfortunately, this Ferrari 458 Challenge Super Luxury Race car is not available in dealerships , and if you somehow can get your hands on a “458 Challenge” it may cost you millions of dollars for this F1 spec super car.
